Best Watches for Business and Formal Wear
Three watch silhouettes that earn their place in a serious wardrobe — from the boardroom to the black-tie evening.
For business hours, choose a clean automatic dress watch on a polished bracelet or a discreet leather strap. The case should be slim enough to disappear beneath a cuff, the dial restrained enough to read across a meeting table without drawing the eye.
For formal evenings, lean further into restraint: a smaller case, a darker dial, and the simplest possible strap. A tonneau case with a moon-phase complication is welcome here — anything louder, less so.
The watch you wear with a suit is a small piece of punctuation. It should finish the sentence, not start a new one.
